We understand the importance of looking after Personal data that we may collect and use. This policy sets out what Personal data we collect & how long it is stored. As we handle the referral of your pet via your veterinary surgeon/practice, Lazarus Veterinary Specialists will aim to minimise the Personal data that we collect and store. We will comply with recommendations provided by the Royal College of Veterinary Surgeons (RCVS) as the regulatory body of veterinary surgeons.

We process and store data provided to us by your veterinary practice, to deal with the referral enquiry by email, telephone or through our website. We will usually collect your name and details of your pet to process the referral. Any Personal data that is shared with us via your veterinary practice is stored whilst we process the data and then deleted within 30 days unless legally required to keep for longer.

 

Information about your pet, the condition treated, and outcome are recorded for auditing purposes as recommended by the RCVS for “best practice”
